  1. Wordz demo disc readme file

  4. To use this demonstration copy of Wordz you
  5. will need 2MB of memory. Both this and the real
  6. version of Wordz will run more easily if you have 
  7. RISC OS 3. If you have RISC OS 2 please read the 
  8. notes below.

  10. RISC OS 2 users
  11. ===============

  13. To start Wordz you will need to provide:
  14.  
  15.        SharedClibrary 3.75
  16.        FPEmulator     2.70
  17.        Colourtrans    0.52
  18.        Fontmanager    2.44
  19.        Printer driver 2.44
  20.                           
  21. You will also need a copy of the Squash module 
  22. in your !System.modules directory. This is 
  23. provided on this disc in Modules.Squash.

  25. Starting Wordz
  26. ==============

  28. To start Wordz, double-click on the !Wordz
  29. application.
  30.  
  31. Demotext provides a tutorial to help you get
  32. into Wordz: once Wordz is on your icon bar,
  33. double-click Demotext to load this, and follow
  34. the instructions therein.

  36. On the disc are some files from the Wordz examples
  37. disc for you to explore to help you get an idea
  38. of what Wordz can do.

  40. About the demo version 
  41. ======================

  43. The demo version is different from the real version 
  44. of Wordz: it does not save files, will not print 
  45. and the spelling checker is disabled.
  46.  
  47. Real Wordz also has our dynamic linking system which
  48. loads objects when required: so it starts up in 
  49. rather less memory than the demo version; about 
  50. 700k in fact, leaving you more space for documents.

  52. Things being what they are, the demo version 
  53. usually lags behind the main version in version number 
  54. and features: if you have a specific query about 
  55. something it's as well to check with us first since 
  56. we may well have improved or altered the real version.
